Welcome to RobotForge
A community for DIY robotics and physical AI. Here's what we're building and why.
The era of physical AI is here. We want to make building robots as approachable as building websites — in the browser, from your bench, from a tiny corner of your apartment.
What RobotForge is
We're a community site for people who build robots and physical-AI systems at home. Tutorials, projects you can replicate, news, and — the part nobody else has — a full robot simulator that runs in your browser. No installs, no Docker, no CUDA drivers. Write some code. See it move.
Who we're for
- Hardware hackers soldering their first quadruped at the kitchen table
- Software engineers curious about ROS, SLAM, or reinforcement learning on real hardware
- Students and educators who want real robot practice without a university lab budget
- Makers who already know Arduino and want to take the next step
What we're shipping
Three things, in order.
- The simulator. An in-browser playground with real physics, a code editor, and lesson templates. Start with a two-wheel robot; grow into arms and quadrupeds.
- Courses. Structured paths from "I've never soldered" to "I built a quadruped that walks." Sim lessons + optional hardware kits.
- Projects & community. Post your builds, get feedback, borrow BOMs. The Hackaday pattern, but native to the AI era.
If that sounds interesting, subscribe to the newsletter below. We'll only email when something's actually worth your time.
